Paolo Pellegrin

Fotografo.

A photographer. Paolo Pellegrin is italian, what interest him are emotions that you can distinguish from his pictures, bringing facts outside, external, a journalist.
First of all, what Pellegrin is doing is being a witness, a witness who knows that the world is doing bad, that people there is doing bad, people who instead of affect the world, is suffering. The problem was in how tell it, describe it and in particular have an answer about why do this, why put more and more pain to the already big sorrow of the world?
Photography has always been to the fore in doing this, documenting, printing on the film and in our memories immages, stories and people. Well, yes Pellegrin is another element of those street of memory, those street which run backward. He is trying to keep alive and together some elements of a memory that between the end of '900 and the beginning of the new century has big doubts about its future. In this case you must be in close quarters with actuality, he goes back in places where he's already been, he became a concerned photographer.
He knows that when he's doing his job, he's exposed to the others' sufference, that they need him as a witness. His role is to create documents for our collective memory, is about responsabiliy.
"Is maybe only in this moments, when this people is suffering, that they will be noticed, and if we notice them, well, this eliminate every possibility to say one day that we didn't know.(...) Other's death is a lose that belongs to everybody".
